Learning through play

Play is critical to children. As children play, they learn to solve problems, to get along with others and to develop the fine and gross motor skills needed to grow and learn. Children also learn colors, numbers, size and shapes. They enhance their memory skills, attention spans and language skills as they interact with others.

Toys and Games

Toys are fun, but toys are also tools to help children learn about themselves and the world around them. Take a look at the toys in our classrooms. Every toy was chosen with the thought “What can this teach a child?” Our classrooms are set up in centers to give our children a wide range of experiences from housekeeping and drama to science and mathematics.

Love and Care

Our staff are carefully chosen and trained to work with young children. Our desire is to assist parents by providing a cheerful environment where the children feel safe and well cared for. We send out monthly newsletters to keep parents up to date on what their child is learning and we welcome parents who may want to come and observe our classes in action.

Physical Activity

Young children cannot sit still for very long. They need to move! We alternate lessons and activities in the classroom rather than stressing them out with long periods of sitting. Weather permitting, the children go outside to the playground every day. In case of bad weather we have a number of games and activities to ensure your child gets some physical exercise each day. During the summer we often take them on walks, go to the park, or have special water days.
